Grocery Haul!

Hey everyone! Happy Halloween! I hope you are all doing well, enjoying your Halloween and gearing up for a great weekend! I have some grocery pics to show you from two separate hauls this week. I thought this would be fun to show since I'm working on getting pics of all of the meals I've made from these ingredients.

The first haul is from Trader Joe's!

The first pic is just a pic of my cart. I stole this idea from Shen :) Lots of fun goodies!

First off, I'm sorry about the horrible tablecloth. I normally photograph on just the table but forgot to move the cloth this time. Anyway, above we have some organic tofu, seaweed snacks, a loaf of multigrain bread (avocado toast anyone?!) and a giant bag of rolled oats.

For produce we have honeycrisp apples, sweet potatoes, edamame, carrots, a frozen veggie medley, a cucumber, celery, romaine, avocado and broccoli florets.

Later in the week I went to Whole Foods to pick up a few fun things!

I finally found the So Delicious CoCo Whip!! Coconut whipped cream in a tub! I was so excited about this because I'm just entirely too lazy to make it myself. I can't wait to try it. I also got the So Delicious Mint Chocolate coconut milk because it is my favorite seasonal milk. I also have seen a lot of people using Amazing Grass in the blogosphere so decided to give it a try! I was warned against the chocolate flavor so I just got the original... What flavor do you recommend? I also stuck to the coconut theme and grabbed a few Coconut Cream Pie Larabars.

I tried my first color of my new e.l.f. nail polish. This is the "Copper" shade and I thought it would be perfect for Halloween! The color is gorgeous and the formula is really nice and thick. I really like this nail polish and the quality is really great, especially given the $1 price tag. I'll show you the rest of the colors as I use them!

I'm not gonna lie, I struggled with whether or not I was going to post this pic all day. At first I thought it was ok then the more I looked all I saw was my gray hair and my nose but I wanted to show you my Halloween makeup! I used Tarte products and e.l.f. products and was really happy with both brands! Also, I don't know why the color looks weird but my eyeshadow was a pretty coppery color even though it comes off more brown in the pic. And I'm looking down in the pic so you can see the eyes :)

So that's what I have! When I collect a decent amount of meal pics I will come back and do a meal roundup for you! I hope you have all been well! Enjoy your weekend!

  2. Great haul! I've seen a lot of holiday treats in the stores, and both that whip and the Chocolate Mint are so tempting! I think the Amazing Grass is a little sweet, although I still use it, and original flavor is a good place to start! They have a Pumpkin Spice variety, but I want to try it first before committing.

Both the nail polish and makeup are so pretty (as are you!!)! Copper/bronze on blue eyes is always beautiful! The lipstick is super flattering!

  4. I know the feeling of being proud of what is in your shopping cart;-)

Surprised you prefer Rolled Oats to Steel Cut.

Cool self-portrait. How do you do a selfie with your eyes closed?

Sure hope you really do show what you are making with that haul.

    1. Haha I totally stole that idea from you! I like both kinds of oats but use the rolled in so many things typed that it just makes sense to have a big bag for everything. I would love to try making steel cut oats in a slow cooker though!

Thanks! Ha, my iPhone lets you turn the camera around to view yourself so I set it up then I just looked down. I rarely take "selfies" (what a,silly word) so actually getting a decent one was a miracle. I've already taken a few pics so that post is coming in the next few days.

  5. Love this post! I am on my way to get that whipped cream like now....!! The choco mint sounds great, i bet that's amazing hot with the whipped cream.

I am such a huge fan of amazing grass! The orange dreamsicle flavor is my favorite, its just a tiny hint of orange. I make a glass every night and i swear that's why i never get sick....there is an obscene amount of nutrition in that stuff! I found the best price off amazon (waaaay cheaper than the same size at whole foods) and i did a subscribe and save to save even more $$, so it ships to me every 3 months- you can also set it to six months or just cxl it.

    1. Thank you!! Definitely pick up the chocolate mint milk, it is amazing!! My plan was to heat it and add the whipped.cream, great minds think alike!! I haven't tried the whipped cream yet and I can't wait!

That's so good to know! What do you mix the Orange dreamlike powder with, just water? I would love to try that! Thanks for the tip!

  6. I'm proud of you for posting a photo you don't necessarily like. I hate every picture I've taken of myself lately. I don't know why you wouldn't like that photo of yourself - I guess that's how it always goes. We are our worst critics. My kids love the Mint Chocolate - cold or warm. I really like the coconut whip, too.
